14u CM wins first place at the Softball Fall Classic in Elgin going 4-0 for the weekend.

GenuWin Reign 14U CM Defeats Elmhurst Emeralds 14U Green On Back Of Clutch Display From Maliyah Johnson By GameChanger Media Maliyah Johnson drove in four runs on two hits to lead GenuWin Reign 14U CM past Elmhurst Emeralds 14U Green 10-1 on Sunday.

In the first inning, Johnson hit a grand slam to center field. GenuWin Reign 14U CM added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Makaylie Malburg singled, and Elmhurst Emeralds 14U Green committed an error, each scoring one run.

GenuWin Reign 14U CM added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when an error scored one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs.

Sophia Anderson earned the win for GenuWin Reign 14U CM. The hurler gave up two hits and one run over three innings, striking out none and walking three. Kaitlynn Overfield started the game for Elmhurst Emeralds 14U Green. The righty allowed seven hits and six runs (five earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking none.

Alaina Torres collected the save. GenuWin Reign 14U CM piled up 10 hits in the game. Johnson, Malburg, and Katelyn Senese each collected two hits for GenuWin Reign 14U CM. Overfield and Lyla Caldwell each collected one hit for Elmhurst Emeralds 14U Green. Sophia Guillen led the team with one run batted in.
