GenuWin Reign 18U SE took Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-3 walk-off victory over Texas Prime Harris 14U at Orange Beach Sportsplex. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the fifth when Jozsa Christiansen (William Penn University) doubled, scoring two runs.
A tag up by A’leejiah Washington put Texas Prime Harris 14U on the board in the top of the first.
Dylan Witzigreuter (2025) singled to center field, which helped GenuWin Reign 18U SE tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
Texas Prime Harris 14U took the lead in the top of the third. Addi Castle singled, scoring one run, to give Texas Prime Harris 14U the leg up, 2-1.
GenuWin Reign 18U SE tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth thanks to two singles. GenuWin Reign 18U SE tied the game at three on a single by Ava Sommerfeld (2025).
Charlie Benesh (Salem State University) stepped in the circle first for GenuWin Reign 18U SE. The pitcher allowed seven hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Kammie Terrell stepped in the circle first for Texas Prime Harris 14U. The pitcher allowed six hits and three runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Christiansen (William Penn University) threw one inning of scoreless ball for GenuWin Reign 18U SE in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out none and walking one.
GenuWin Reign 18U SE amassed nine hits in the game. Benesh (Salem State University), GenuWin Reign 18U SE’s number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in two at-bats. Christiansen (William Penn University) led GenuWin Reign 18U SE with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day.
Terrell, Hayden Mullins, and Castle each drove in one run for Texas Prime Harris 14U. Stella Fincher led Texas Prime Harris 14U with two hits in two at bats.
